My Accident !!!

Well I am typing this blog with one hand since my hand is fractured after the accident on November 3rd. Well to share the first hand experience, I left office in hurry since I had cricket matches coming up the next 2 days and my collegeaus wanted to party. When I left the eastern express on to the road towards Powai , it was dark and road was with medium traffic. I was as usual on speed of 60kmph but suddenly I saw an auto stop in front of me and I had no time to react. I crashed into the back of auto. That auto did not have tail light or brake light. I fell down , I left the bike as I did not want to be dragged with it. My head crashed with auto, and then I rolled at least 3-4 times. Thanks to my helmet my head was intact. I got up and tried to catch the auto driver but collapsed again. By that time auto had escaped. One couple on bike diverted the traffic behind me and another person took me to the side o the road. I had no other major injuries, but when I looked at my left hand , I knew I was I trouble. I could see the wrist bone dislocated. Mr. Vinod took me to a near by hospital till my friends, Krishna , Mehul & Shiva had come. I was admitted to a clinic in Ghatkhoper for 2 days. Doctors operated on my hand and have put 2 wires inside my hand to make it better.

Informing my parents was a big task .Tried to tell them after the operation that I was better but couldn’t stop mom from coming to Mumbai. After a week I am in Kolhapur to take rest. Will be joining office in a week’s time from now and will have to travel by bus or train and not by bike.

Accidents happen, but then cause of me , my family & friends were worried and tensed for me. This is my way of telling everyone, who was there in hospital, my friends who visited me, my family who are really taking great care of me, my friends who called or messaged me and also those who did not call, THANK YOU. I will be fine by December first week mainly due to your wishes.

Everyone after that day was telling not to drive bike from now on and travel by bus or train. But I really enjoy riding bike and if something were to happen to me , it can happen anytime, while walking or traveling in bus or train . So do I just quit something because some idiot auto driver chooses to stop in middle of a highway. NO is the answer. I will be extra cautious next time riding a bike but will never quit riding .

So till then I ride again ..Will enjoy the holidays.

Mere Yaar ki Shaadi Hai !!

Yest November on 2 , 2006, Hitesh Sethi, my roommate, for last 4 years got married. It has been great journey together and we enjoyed every bit of time spent. Now from today I will be staying alone..Mein aur meri tanhayi !!

Well we had known each other during our MBA times but his group of friends and mine were different. After getting a job in Mumbai, I had no place to stay. I knew he was staying with another person. I called him and instantly he said come and stay with me.

After initial days in Chembur we shifted to Andheri. Till date it was the best decision we took. Andheri West has been one of the best places I have ever stayed in. It had everything, good eating places, good malls, good multiplexes, good pubs, good hang out places. We got along well instantly. We shared the same passion, Sports, movies, music, books , bikes, fitness ,talking, gossping, and many more things. Behavior wise we were extremes, he was a spender and I was a bit reluctant spender. Still we enjoyed ourselves.

There are few instances I remember I remember as it happened yest.
We used to stay in Chembur earlier, and one day at twelve in night we had an urge to eat ice cream. We took our bike and went to an ice cream parlor in Ghatkhoper. We were in our night dress. While going I told him that I had not taken my wallet. He said don’t worry I have mine and have sufficient money in it. We reached the ice cream center and started eating ice cream. The center was closing down so we decide to pay and eat ice cream later. When we counted money, it was less than required. As Hitesh had never any money left in his account after the 5th of any month, it was of no use to go to the ATM. Now at twelve in the night, we both dressed in the worst possible clothes, were without money to pay for the ice cream. Hitesh said he will go home and get my wallet which had money. He left. It was the longest time taken ever by me to eat ice cream. Ha ha. I must have given him so many gallis till the time he returned. In the end shopkeeper thought that i was never going to pay. When I saw him return with the wallet, I gave a sigh of relief. He took half an hour to get money. Now whenever we go to have an ice cream, we check our wallets before we leave our home J.
One other habit we had was to get up at any point of time in the night and go to Marine Drive for a long drive. Take our bike and enjoy the ride. Go to Marine Drive, sit there for a while, eat ice cream at Bachelors Chow patty and then return home in wee hours.

We had passion for eating good non vegetarian food. He like eating at places which had great ambience & good food and I liked places with great food and decent ambience. But one of the places both liked the most is ‘Bade Miyaan’ behind Taj near Gateway of India. We relished all the dishes there.

Another passion was movies. We have seen a movie every weekend. Sometime 2 movies each weekend. We have seen the worse movies in best places and best movies in worse places and enjoyed our discussions on the movie after returning after the late night shows.

The best part of our friendship was were never interfered in each other lives but we knew that whenever we needed a friend to talk, the other one was there. He was one of the smartest & stylish people I knew. He had an attitude but was never arrogant. That was his confidence and never to give up attitude. Keep it up Man !! Only thing I wished I could change about him is spending habit.

I wish Hitesh & Shilpa Sethi, A Happy And Wonderful Life ahead filled with lots of love and happiness.

"My friend, if I could give you one thing, I would wish for you the ability to see yourself as others see you. Then you would realize what a truly special person you are."

Now i want to write about lots of things & stuff which happens everyday in our lives.. which we see..which we want to do..about our dreams ..our expectations..our aspirations ..our commitments..our relations..our family..our friends...our foes ...our work..our office... our country..our environments..politics..sports...and many more things i would like to share..

Will take a step at a time...all i will say as a famous quote and i truly belive in is "I don't want to get to the end of my life and find that I have just lived the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well."
Enjoy your life to fullest.....
